If you would like your chosen Carmen member to receive an email containing details of the donation that you are about to make to their loving cup then please select 'Member receives gift card email'. This will also send your chosen Carmen member a PDF gift card displaying details of the donation.
If you would like to have the gift card emailed to yourself instead of to your chosen Carmen member, you can do so by selecting the 'Receive Gift card' option. This option will send the gift card and the donation details to the email address that you have provided as the donor, this will enable you to be able to print the gift card PDF yourself.
There are three ways that you can make your donation.
Every Carman has a virtual loving cup. Once their virtual loving reaches £500.00 their name will appear on the real Loving cup. This cup will stay with the Company of Carmen and will be used at the Carmen's charity dinner for years to come. You can add to your chosen Carman virtual cup even if it has already reached £500. You can write a message to your Carman friend and you can mark it as private so only they will see it as otherwise it will appear on the listing. You can opt to print your donation/gift to give to your Carman member or have it emailed to them.
What is the Loving Cup? It’s a special two-handled silver vessel, filled with mulled wine, as the centre-piece of a much-loved City ritual, celebrating friendship. Three people stand, one holds the Cup, one drinks, and another protects that one’s back.
Any Carman or friend, colleague or customer can make a donation to the Hall Appeal. It can be any sum of your or their choosing, rather than one of those listed elsewhere though, if you prefer that, please look below. This means you can give what you wish, as a round sum in the hundreds or more, for every sum is welcome.
And every donor is welcome, as a member or as a friend of the Company.
If you would prefer to sponsor a particular part of the Hall, this is where you can do it. There are a number of different elements within a range of costs. Please choose the specific item you would like to make possible, in your name or not as you wish. Gifts can be listed in the Hall unless donors prefer anonymity. Major items can be labelled with your name if you would like that. Take your choice and make your donation.
If you wish to make your donation /gift anonymously just click in the box.
Using Gift Aid means that for every pound you give, the Carmen trust receives an extra 25 pence from the Inland Revenue, helping your donation go further. This means £10 can be turned into £12.50, which will make an enormous difference to the trust.
You need to be a current UK taxpayer.
By ticking this Gift Aid box, I confirm I am a UK taxpayer and understand that if I pay less Income Tax and/or Capital Gains Tax than the amount of Gift Aid claimed on all my donations in that tax year it is my responsibility to pay any difference. I understand the charity will reclaim 25p of tax on every £1 that I have given in the last 4 tax years, on this gift and all future gifts until I tell you otherwise.
